Sagar Kanya Kuakata is a beautiful green land located in Patuakhali district. Kuakata is the only beach in South Asia where you can stand and watch the sunrise and sunset. It is undoubtedly a great thing to observe the rising of the sun through the belly of the sea and the sight of the sun disappearing in the bosom of the sea.

A private enterprise museum has been set up on the left as you cross the Kuakata Berry Dam and head for the beach. A few yards south, Farms and Farms has a huge coconut orchard with fruit and flower gardens. Several picnic spots have been set up in the garden, and after visiting these picnic spots, there is a huge beach of the desired length of 15 km. On the east side of the beach, these are the first coconut gardens, beautifully shaped Zhou gardens. A little to the east is the lake of Char-Gangamati, and a little further inland is the ashram of Sri Sri Anukul Tagore and the huge Buddhist monastery at Misripara. Every year from Ashwin to Chaitra in Lembupara on the west side of the beach, fishermen build a dry village in a natural way. In this Shutki village, various species of sea fish are converted into Shutki in a natural way and supplied to the whole country.

It is better to go to Zhaoban to see the sunrise in Kuakata. From there the sunset looks good, there is no doubt that many more people like you will leave before you to see how the sun rises across the belly of the sea. It will take 20 minutes to walk to Zhaoban in the morning. And it will take 10 minutes to get to the van. There will be rows and rows of trees. This forest has been created by the government under afforestation plan. For some, the sunset may seem more beautiful than the sunrise. You can clearly see the change in color as the sun sets on the sea.

The roar of the sea is usually not heard during the day due to the noise around. The terrifying form of the sea is understood at night. If you want to hear the roar of the sea at night, you can definitely go there. There is no fear of security. But it is better to be careful. Honestly, the roar of the sea at night is really terrible. For visitors and those who are thirsty for travel, this beach has hired motorbikes and horses. Rents are usually according to distance and time. There are several chars around Kuakata. You can see them by speedboat and trawler or by big motor boat. There are several picnic spots around the beach in Kuakata. They have all the facilities for cooking. From stoves, chalk, pots, pans to cooks.

There are sea-going ships and trawlers and speed boats for tourists to visit. Tourists board these ships and trawlers and wander in the deep seas of the Sundarbans, especially Fatra Char, Sonar Char, Katka, Hansar Char, Gangamati Lake and the Sundarbans. There are well-arranged meals on the sea-going ship.

There are a limited number of shops in Kuakata where you can buy your essentials and fancy items. Although the price is relatively high, you will find many new items. Another attraction to visit in Kuakata is Shuntakipalli. As there is a dry fishing village in Kuata, you can get dried fish of various marine fish here at a much lower price. Numerous species of fish including hilsa, rupchanda, shark, laitya, shaplapata are dried in the sun and dried and exported abroad. Another fun experience is seeing the method of making shuntki by making chang in a huge area.

Rakhine Village:
Tourists enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kuakata beach, a tourist center of Kalapara upazila, and there are Barati attractions for the Rakhine people. The Rakhine community has a nearly two-hundred-year-old tradition. You can see a huge statue of “Gautam Buddha”. The largest Buddhist temple in the country is located in Rakhine village, 10 km from Kuakata. This meditative statue of Gautam Buddha is 36 feet high and weighs about 36 manas. Motorcycles are the main means of transportation from Kuakata. It is known that the beauty of the construction of the temple has followed the architecture of China. It looks like Thailand or Myanmar.

How to get to Kuakata
Its distance by road from Dhaka is 360 km and from Barisal 106 km. Several buses from Dhaka now go directly to Kuakata. You can reach Kuakata directly from Dhaka by fast transport, Sakura transport and multiple transport vehicles from Gabtali or Sayedabad bus stand. If you take these buses, you will be dropped off 200 meters away from Kuakata beach. Rent 500-550. The total time to go from Dhaka to Kuakata bus is about 12/13 hours. A BRTC bus leaves Khulna for Kuakata at 8 am. It takes about 7/8 hours to go from Khulna.

And if you want to come from North Bengal, you can come from Syedpur to Khulna by Rupsha or border intercity train. You can actually go to Kuakata by BRTC bus at 8 in the morning.

However, after Barisal, you have to cross the Lebukhali ferry to reach Kuakata by road.
