Maunji is one of the three corners of the Kilimanjaro volcano
It is the second-highest peak in the mountain at 5,149 meters (16,893 feet). Kibo is the main peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point of which is Uhuru Peak which is 5,895 meters or 19,341 feet high. The distance between these two corners is about 11 km. When this photo was taken, I was standing in a place near Stella Point in Kibo, which is 5,756 meters or 18,885 feet high. Kilimanjaro’s two no-veins and Maunji are now dead. The last eruption is thought to have taken place over a million and a half years ago. However, Kibo is still dormant. The top of the Kibo is always covered with ice.
