If you want to see all the installations of Bangladesh together in one park, you must go to Mini Bangladesh (Independence Complex) located at Kalurghat in Chittagong. What’s not here? Mini Bangladesh has been built with mini versions of historical installations of different regions of Bangladesh. Starting from Sangsad Bhaban, Kantjir Mandir, Ahsan Manzil, Supreme Court, Satgumbaj Mosque, etc. In addition to various installations in Mini Bangladesh, there is an aesthetic presentation of the culture of Chittagong. This mini Bangladesh is a dream city of various historical installations all over Bangladesh in one place.
Mini Bangladesh has been set up at 11 places adjacent to Kalurghat radio station near Bahaddar Hat terminal in Chittagong. It was first named ‘Shaheed Zia Memorial Complex’. Later the name was changed to “Freedom Complex”. Chittagong City Corporation is responsible for its management. But its beauty was almost disappearing due to neglect and carelessness. Mini Bangladesh has recently been re-equipped with new management.
Upon entering the park, you will see the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban and the adjoining lake. Huge swans are floating in the lake. The National Memorial of Savar stands beside him with its head held high. Curzon Hall stands next to it as a witness to history. When it was time for Muslim visitors to turn around and pray, they had to find the Golden Mosque. This famous structure is the mosque of the complex. Scattered inside is Ahsan Manzil in Dhaka’s Sadarghat, Dhaka’s Central Shaheed Minar, Kantjir Temple in Dinajpur, Sona Mosque in Bagerhat, Curzon Hall in Dhaka University, Bara Kuthi, Chhota Kuthi, Paharpur Bihar in Rangpur, St. Nicholas Church, Lalbagh Fort in Dhaka, Darbar Hall Building.
There are surprises in the layers of the complex. It contains tribal house models of rural people in different regions. There are models of tribal dwellings along with house models of each section. There is an artificial fountain at the back. An amusement park has been built on one side of the complex. You will be able to enjoy a variety of fun rides.
There is also a revolving restaurant about 250 feet high with a touch of modern architecture. Whose name is the pillar of freedom? The whole of Chittagong will come at a glance as soon as you get up here. From here you can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the whole Chittagong. You can see many things including High Court and Durbar Hall. The park has a fountain, 5 water fountains. Inside the park, there are three separate kids’ zones for children.
The park is open seven days a week from 11 pm to 9 pm without any public holidays. Entrance fee is 150 rupees.
How to get there:
AC buses of TR Travels, Desh Travels, Greenline Paribahan, Sohag Paribahan, Saudia Paribahan, Hanif Enterprise go to Chittagong by road from Dhaka. Rent from 950 to 1,250 TK. Besides, non-standard AC buses of S Alam, Saudia, Unique, Shyamoli, Hanif, Eagle, etc. also run on this route. Rent from 450 to 500 TK.
On the way from Dhaka to Chittagong, Mahanagar Prabhati leaves Dhaka at 8:40 am, Chattala Express leaves at 9:20 am, Mahanagar Godhuli leaves Dhaka at 3 pm, Subarna Express leaves Dhaka at 4:20 pm and Turna leaves at 11 pm. Rents range from 135 to 1,093.
Besides, Bangladesh Biman, US Bangla Airlines, Novo Air, Regent Air, and United Air fly from Dhaka to Chittagong.

Kalurghat Mini Bangladesh Park can be reached by CNG autorickshaw from any part of Chittagong city. The fare varies from 150 to 200 TK depending on the place. If you want to go by a city bus, you can get on the bus at Kalurghat from any part of the city and get off in front of the park. The rent is 8 to 20 TK depending on the location.
