Kolkata Travel Itinerary and Tips.

In the city of yellow taxi (Kolkata): When you hear the name Kolkata, you remember many memorable things. Once upon a time, Kolkata was our capital and the capital of India. All our trade, education, politics were centered in Calcutta. Let’s not go back in history, but let me tell you my travel story today.

Day 1: In the afternoon, Saudia dropped off the bus at Marquis Street in Kolkata. The hotel was already booked at booking.com. Butt is a long journey away from Marquis Street and I didn’t want to go there. I didn’t sleep for the previous two nights. First I went to “Hotel 21” on Marquis Street. I didn’t want to go around anymore. I bought a single room. Note: I came from Dhaka alone but some of my friends came here a few days ago. I went to the hotel room, took a bath, and freshened up and walked out from the destination New Market Marquis Street. I bought a SIM and talked to a Vodafone at home and relieved them of tension. The first foreign trip to the whole new city was doing some thrilling work. Walking on Mirza Ghalib Street, Park Street, it was night, it was so good, I forgot all about not eating all day, I connected a friend, whether it will go to “Goa” tonight, Pure Solo Traveler, I am also solo now because how many of my friends came I was going to Delhi tonight and I had decided to go to Delhi but they changed their minds and left. The two of us decided to go for dinner on Zakaria Street. We got on the bus from “Esplanade Junction” and ate from here on Zakaria Street. The two of us enjoyed Kolkata for the night. After saying goodbye to him, I came to Sadar Street, bought some food from there, returned to my room, and fell asleep.

Day 2: I woke up in the morning, took a bath, and went out for tea. I left the road to see Howrah Bridge. I came from there to do some shopping in the big market. I went to Park Street and from there I went to Kolkata Metro Rail. I liked this metro rail in Kalighat the best in Kolkata. Aha! So much tidy balanced state-of-the-art technology goes under the ground without dirt. I don’t know what the service of Dhaka Metro will be like, but can we use it as the people of Kolkata? Looking at the Kalighat temple, it is thought that the name Kolkata came from this Kalighat temple. From Kalighat I took Metro again to “Esplanade Junction”. From there I did some shopping in New Market. After the evening I went to “Big Bazaar”. I bought something from there. I have never seen such a big line to pay my bill. I gave. I came to Sadar Street, bought some food from there, came to the room, took a bath, and took rest. I went out at night and had dinner at a Muslim hotel on Marquis Street. I sold ice wholesale for coke and bought some ice from there. There was a waz mahfil next to Marquis Street. I came to the room for some time and ate coke with ice and fell asleep.

Day 3: I got up in the morning and ate. I came to where I ate last night. After visiting the Indian Museum, I came to the Maidan and spent some time there to see the Symbol of Calcutta.

“Victoria Memorial” is a truly immortal building. From there I went to “Shaheed Minar” and then to “Eden Garden” and as a bonus, I saw Kolkata Mohammedan and East Bengal Football Club. From there I took a bus down Park Street and walked to my room with fresh and rest. I had lunch at Park Street KFC and went to New Market again. I did some shopping in the evening. I went to Big Bazaar. I came to Sadar Street, bought some food, took a rest in the room, and got fresh. I had dinner and slept.

4th day: I will go back to Dhaka today. I was very busy for a few days but I didn’t get bored for a moment. I got up in the morning and ate. Then I walked around the road. I exchanged rupees with money from the border. After that, I went to eat at McDonald’s. There is no McDonald’s in Bangladesh so I really wanted to eat here. I came to the hotel and checked out with my luggage. There is no bus to Petrapole after 12 o’clock in the morning so I didn’t get any bus. On the other hand, the border was closed. However, the speed of the train was faster than the intercity train in Bangladesh. Arrived at Bangaon Junction in 2 hours. From there I came to the border by auto. From there I crossed the border and took a bus from Benapole to Dhaka.

# Some tips.

– There is no need to take more clothes. I could not wear anything with a dress full of bags. It is better not to take more than 2 sets of dresses.

– Try to book the hotel in advance at OYO or booking.com.

– It is better to try to wear shorts in summer.

-Always keep a backpack with the necessary documents including the passport.

-Keep the internet on the phone or download the city map from Google Maps.

– Keep an umbrella with you.

– Before coming to Solo Hall, try to read many blogs about this city and if you google it, you will find that you already know this city.

If you have any doubts about the halal and haram food, there are many Muslim hotels in New Market and Beef Lover around the big market.

– There are no rickshaws like in Dhaka, only taxis to go a short distance, but taxis are reliable, so you have to have enough walking humanity, and to save cost, you have to use bus and Metrorail.

In these few days, I have fallen in love with food, traffic system, metro or Sadar Street, I want to go there again.

When you go out of the country, you represent your own country, so do not do anything that tarnishes the image of the country. Throw plastic or dirt in the specified place.
