Tangail Mahera zamindar’s house.

In the midst of busy time, I feel a little energetic and thirsty to regain my vitality. I came back from Mahera Zamindar’s house in Tangail, a district near Dhaka … !!!

The zamindari system was completely abolished by the State Acquisition and Tenancy Act of 1950. The zamindar house was established in the style of Cordoba, Spain before the 1890s. It was later upgraded to a police training center in 1990.

Travel Details: On a certain day we leave Dhaka’s Mohakhali bus stand by a lonely bus for Tangail. The fare is 160 TK per person. By 11 am I reached the station where the police training center was going in Tangail. From there I went to the much-awaited zamindar’s house with CNG fare of 15 TK per person. I was shocked, yes, I was shocked to see Bishakha Dighi. In a word, wow … !!! !! Where did I come from? It’s as if my imagination is giving up. All the huge buildings are standing and welcoming me, says the majesty of the zamindar’s house. Chowdhury Lodge, Maharaj Lodge, Ananda Lodge, Kalicharan Lodge are all mind-blowing.

Pasrapukur, Ranipukur, Park, Zoo, Lake, Museum are not here. There are beautiful seating arrangements, artificial fountains, and police security. Tidy, tidy garden and greenery will remind you – what else do you want “aha” is nice … !!!

When you see everything, your mind starts to get worse as always, because this time you have to go. Then I remember the famous song.

“No, no, I won’t give up
I will keep you in my heart and I will not let you go ”

In the afternoon I come back by Dhaka-bound bus. The zamindar’s house is tied to me by some invisible shackle, so when I am writing these words, I have discovered myself there, yes that “Mahera zamindar’s house” … !!!
