Visit Meghalaya at the expense of Sajek.

Since the main feature of Shillong and Cherrapunji is that it gets a lot of rain. And that is why we did not choose the rainy season to visit Meghalaya.
On the night of July 11, I left Dhaka to visit the eastern Indian state of Meghalaya, Scotland. At 10.30 pm our car left for Sylhet. The next day at 8 am I reached Humayun Rashid Square in Sylhet. Since our tour members will come from a few places, I wait for them for a while and have breakfast with them. At 7.10 am we set off for Tamabil with the group members in a previously rented Noah car. When I reached the border, I completed the immigration from Bangladesh and India in a very short time.

Bangladesh Part

Dauki border immigration is easier than other borders. First, you have to complete the immigration from the house on the right side. For this, first, collect an exit card / Departure Card from the police along the line and fill it. If you do not understand anything, take help from the police or any other traveler.

When the Exit Card / Departure Card is filled, stand in line, and submit inside. Even if it looks bad, it is true that they will ask for 100 rupees. They will kill a seal from here.

So after finishing immigration, now you have to go to the customs office on the opposite side of the road and make an entry. You have to submit the travel tax receipt here. If you have a camera, laptop, or any other large electronic device, make an entry here. It will not be a problem when it comes. Otherwise, they may consider these as new and demand tax. They will also give a seal from here.

Note: Those who do not pay travel tax from Dhaka can pay travel tax here with 600 TK.

When the customs are over, BGB will go to the front now. Don’t forget to enter India again after finishing customs.

Diameter is now all over the border.

India part

Once the work of Bangladesh part is completed, BSF will check the passport again and allow them to enter as soon as they enter the India part. Now walk a little to the left of the Indian Immigration and Customs Office (in the same building).

Here too, first go inside and come to the officer’s room and submit your passport. And bring an Arrival Card and fill it properly. If you call after a while, go inside, submit the Arrival Card, and sign. They will kill a seal from here. Address in India and Telephone Number in the room of a hotel address and phone number.

Then it was time to get out of the building. Customs does not check anything there. However, he wrote the name and other information in their notebook and put another seal. When it’s all over, border immigration is over.
Then we reached Dauki Bazaar on foot and converted the money into rupees. From there we drove Sumi to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. On the way, we visited various spots. We visit Umekrem Falls, Barnhill Falls, Living Route Bridge, Maolingnong Village (the cleanest village in South Asia). After that, we reached Shillong in the evening to see the beautiful hills and waterfalls on the hilly road. There we rented a room at Hotel EMBASSY and went out to rest for a while. After a short walk to Shillong Point, we had dinner at a Muslim hotel below the Police Bazaar Mosque. The shops in Shillong are closed till 9 pm. Their manners are very nice as their roads are clean and tidy and the drivers follow the traffic rules properly. From the hotel, at night we get out the next morning. After a light breakfast from Shillong Point, we set off for Cherrapunji. There we visited Cherrapunji, Wahkaba Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Eco Park, Noakalikai Falls Mookdok.
From there we had planned to go to Snowpedang but due to heavy rains, the river water rose so we could not go there. So we came to Dauki Bazaar at 4.30 pm on the same day. We enter Bangladesh after completing the immigration from India and Bangladesh by doing light shopping in Dauki Bazaar. I came to Sylhet by local bus from Tamabil. I left Sylhet at 12 o’clock in the night and reached Dhaka at 8 o’clock in the morning.
