Hawa Mahal (English translation: “Palace of Winds” or “Palace of Lights”) is a palace in Jaipur, India. It is made of red and pink sandstone. The palace is located on the edge of the City Palace, and extends to the Jinnah, or Women’s Room.

The building was constructed in 1899 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. He was inspired by the unique structure of the Khetriya Mahal and he built this historic palace. It was designed by Red Moon Master. Its unique five exteriors are the equivalent of a beehive with 953 small doors, known as zorochas. The main purpose of the Hawa Mahal was for the royal ladies to celebrate daily life and festivals, which they could not observe perfectly on the streets, as they observed strict adherence to the “veil” custom, which forbade them to appear in public without palaces. [1] This architectural feature allows cool air to enter the palace from the venturi effect (doctor’s wind), making the whole area more beautiful in the high temperatures of summer. [1] [2] [3] Many people see Hawa Mahal from the street view and think that it is in front of the palace, but in reality it is the back of the structure. [4]

In 2007, the palace was renovated after nearly 50 years, at an estimated cost of Rs 4,575 million to brighten up the monument. [5] The corporate sector recognizes Mahal for preserving the historical monuments of Jaipur and protecting India’s sole trust. [6] The palace is an extended part of a huge complex. Stone-carved curtains, small cassettes and arched roofs are the main features of this popular tourist spot.

Architecture:
Hawa Mahal is a five-storey palace, 50 feet (15 m) high from its main base. The top three floors of the palace consist of a single room, with open spaces in front of the first and second floors below, which are made in the eastern part of the palace. The front part of the palace, which looks like a beehive from the main road in front of the palace. In each part of the front there are small doors and beautiful sandstone windows, fins and domes. This magnificent palace forms a partial octagonal structure, which is used in various palaces around the world. The interior of the rear of the building is built according to individual requirements with very little ornamentation and alleys. This is the same up to the top of the house.

How to get to Hawa Mahal:
You must go to Jaipur to go to Hawa Mahal. If you want to go to Jaipur, you have to go to Kolkata first. Of course, you can also go by train or plane from other places.
A train leaves Kolkata’s Howrah station at 11.35 am for Jaipur. It takes about 25 hours to go. Sleeper class will cost Rs 625 and AC 3 will cost Rs 1655.
There is also a train from Sealdah station to Jaipur at 10.55 am. The rent is the same.
One way fares from Kolkata will be Rs 3,000-4,500.
Besides, Jaipur can be reached from Kolkata via Delhi by train or bus from Delhi.
After reaching Jaipur, Hawa Mahal is within walking distance of your hotel. Hawa Mahal is very beautiful day and night. So it is possible to see both during the day and at night. Tickets for Hawa Mahal used to cost Rs 50 for foreigners, now it seems to be Rs 200.

There is so much to see in Jaipur. Next to Hawa Mahal is City Place, Janta Mantar.

You can go to Jal Mahal after evening. It would be great. A place of much peace. There is a lot of wind after dusk. A lot of time can be spent chatting while eating street food.

There are many forts a little far from the city. Which is the main attraction of Jaipur. Such as Amber Fort, Nahargah Fort, Jaigah Fort, Shis Mahal, Jal Mahal. It will take 1 day to visit the forts well. The more time you visit the forts, the more you will enjoy and learn a lot of history.
Jaipur and other cities in Rajasthan can be reached from Bangladesh at very low cost.

No matter how low the budget is, there are all the arrangements in Jaipur. There are everything from dorms to 5 star hotels for 100 rupees.
The same goes for food.
