Gangtok is in turmoil and Darjeeling is in turmoil.

Aslam Sikkim-Darjeeling while visiting Sikkim travel post on TOB. Our team was of 7 people. Border of 7 people was at Changrabandha and 1 person was at Haridaspur. Money. We wanted to leave on the night of the 26th but did not get a ticket, so we had to go on the 25th. So it is better to cut the ticket as early as possible.

We reached the border at 8 am on the 26th. Immigration work started at 9 am so we didn’t have fresh and breakfast at that time. We didn’t pay travel tax so we have to pay 500 + 100 rupees. We have to pay 100 rupees more to avoid checking luggage. You can exchange money at the border.

After work at the border, we got on the bus again and reached Siliguri at 2.30 pm. At first we did not buy a SIM. We went to two shops and bought Vodafone for Rs. 300. Every day 1.5 GB internet and local calls are free. You have to recharge for international calls. No lunch from the fancy hotel.

We go to Siliguri SNT to fill up the form for Sikkim permission. SNT closes at 4 pm so it is better to go early. Photocopy of one copy of passport and visa is required here. Then we don’t have to rent a jeep to go to Gangtok for 3500 rupees. More is available but we have to agree to higher fares due to the delay. The Rangpo check post closes at 8 pm. We arrive a little earlier. After submitting the form there, we reach Gangtok with the permit at 9.30 am. You have to take a room in a hotel with a higher price. All the shops there are closed by 9 o’clock, so you don’t have dinner and hotel.

The next day on the 26th we found a hotel called Sanmun House on PNG Road with a room for 4 people for 800 rupees. We do not have a package for different spots from the hotel but it is better to manage a separate travel agency. On that day we do not have a package for 1600 rupees Banjhakari Falls is the most beautiful spot but the driver of our car took it at the very end when it was closed. In this case the driver has to be asked to take him to that spot first. We visit Handloom Exhibition, Flower Exhibition, Tashi View Point, Ganeshatak Temple and Monastery.

The next day, on the 26th, we went to Sangu Lake in a package of Rs. 4,000. Unfortunately, the driver of our car did not read well. He was using it very badly and was driving rough. If you don’t have suitable clothes, you can rent them on the way for 50/100 rupees. At night we go shopping on MG Marg. You won’t get anything other than souvenirs at a very low price.

The next day on the 29th we went to Lachung-Yamthang Valley for 12000 rupees. There is no 2 day 1 night package. If we took 2 night package we could go to Lacheng but seeing that Bangladeshis don’t have permit to go to many places there, we dropped it. Rent and breakfast the next day, lunch was included. On the way we saw Naga Falls, Vim Nala Falls and reached Lachung’s hotel. All the places we have visited in Sikkim, there is no other place as beautiful as Lachung. If you don’t see it with your own eyes, it doesn’t seem possible. I left for Yamthang Valley on the morning of the 30th. If anyone wants to go to Zero Point, they have to pay 3000 rupees more.

We left for Gangtok before noon today because our plan was to go to Darjeeling on the same day. We reached Gangtok, took luggage from the hotel and went to Deurali to rent a car for Darjeeling. We got a jeep for 2500 rupees. We arrived at 10:30 pm. You have to get up at a hotel.

The next day on 1st May we rent a car for 1500 rupees for 3 spots. First we go to Tiger Hill. Basically everyone goes here to see the sunrise and Kanchenjunga but now it is not possible to see due to fog. Then we go to a monastery and go to Batasia Loop. You can wear it. You can get on the toy train for 200 rupees.

We then went to the mall to go shopping. After shopping at Domino’s, we took our luggage from the hotel and left for Siliguri. The car rental was 1800 rupees. Arriving, we bought a ticket to go to Dhaka the next day. We got the ticket in Shyamoli but only for 5 people. Two people have to go by separate bus. If the return ticket is possible, it is better to cut it immediately after arrival. We get up at the Royal Garden Hotel on Mallaguri Road. The room for 4 people was 1600 rupees and the hotel service was very good.

The next day, on the morning of May 2, after shopping from Big Bazaar, we left for Dhaka at 1.30 pm. On May 3, we reached Dhaka at 8 am.

* The cost of the 7-day tour has been around Rs 10,000 per person (including food) and Rs 2,500.

** We ate Gangtok most of the time at Mayur Hotel (near PNG Road). Here you can eat Momo, Chaumin, Fried Rice, Alu Parota for less money.

*** Gangtok’s weather is quite unpredictable. Sometimes very hot, sometimes sudden rain and sometimes very cold. Take umbrellas and winter clothes.

**** Take 10-12 copies of passport, visa copy and photo.

Many people have left dirty garbage in the spots. Try to keep the beautiful places beautiful. Thank you all for reading this post.
