From Siliguri to Darjeeling.

I understand her sweet touch in the air .. ”(I love to sing the rest in my mind)
When the two roads from Siliguri to Darjeeling cross the dryline and divide towards Mirik and Darjeeling, you can see the huge green hills that blend with the sky in the distance, or the Sevak Road from Siliguri to Kalimpong before crossing the Srotasbini Teesta. As the waves began to play, this chorus of one of the most popular songs of all time unknowingly rang in my mind, all M, all the time.

I recline this song while leaning back in my seat, leaning my head against the window, keeping my eyes open, spellbound, sometimes looking at the mountains, sometimes the forest, sometimes the flowing mountain river, sometimes looking at the vast green of my favorite green sea tea garden. , With the utmost joy of the mind and thinking of this happy thought of getting my all-time beloved.

But this time I was not going to Darjeeling or Kalimpong. This time my journey was to a brand new province, Sikkim, which was recently opened to us after being banned for so long. But the way to get there was also the way to Kalimpong via Sevak Road. And since it has been seen that the favorite hill Teesta, the walls of the green hill, the path playing with the mountain waves, the call of this favorite song started playing in my mind. I was humming like myself.
The good-natured fellow on the side told me to see the view, to enjoy the beauty of the mountains, the river, the curved path. I told him it was my 11th time to come here or this way. He looked me in surprise and said, yes, I have been here ten times before, but this is the first time I am going to Sikkim because the door to Sikkim was not open for us before. The road from Sevak to Teesta Bridge is so ugly, horrible, broken, rough, and dusty that you have to cover your eyes and face all the time. The path, the bend of the path, the blue-green river flowing, the green mountain walls, the white clouds flying in the glittering blue sky are no longer enjoyed. So somehow I was sitting in the city with my eyes closed as soon as this situation started after the servant.

However, after crossing the Teesta, passing Kalimpong, and going towards Sikkim, I found a way to enjoy it again. I have seen the Teesta many times before, but I have never seen the Teesta on the way to Sikkim, as it is, on a winding road, flat or deep, dressed in blue-green. What a strange sight it was to see the various forms of the Teesta flowing through the hills through the open windows.

Sometimes the blue Teesta has merged with the mountains in the distant sky, sometimes the water of the green Teesta has stopped for some other reason, sometimes it has rolled down from the mountain and got stuck with the huge rocks floating in the intoxicating waters of the Teesta and filled itself with bright white foam. The Teesta is very wide, the current of the water is also very high. There are many colorful rafting boats floating on the Teesta. On the chest.

I was looking at all this and regretting in my mind that the seat was not near the window. I couldn’t even take a picture of the beautiful Teesta in different colors. But soon I realized that if I could not go today, I would not be able to see such a beautiful Teesta, the mountains, and I would not be able to know what is on the way to Sikkim, bends. So I can go, I can see, I can enjoy myself like this or less? Reaching Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, I was even more amazed to be mesmerized by the lonely way all the way.

That surprise was further heightened when MG Marg was reached. I thought Mall Road in Sikkim would not be as glamorous as Darjeeling, Shimla, Manali, Leh, Mashuri. A little quiet, silent, a little shop, very few people, and maybe a little rural environment! I don’t know why such a picture was drawn in my mind. However, I have to admit that MG Marg or Mall Road in Sikkim shattered my thoughts at the first sight. I was amazed at my own stupid thinking. What I thought and what I see …

Hundreds of smiling and noisy faces on the transparent stone-paved road, happy faces all around, happy greenery hanging in the middle of the road, smiles of different colored flowers, and wooden benches for sitting on either side. But yes, there is no place to sit. Someone is sitting on each bench with friends or family. Not finding a place to sit and the body is quite tired all day and the night before the journey. So I thought, I haven’t had a room before. I keep my bags, get a little fresh, and rest, or I’ll take the time to walk and sit here.
I immediately entered a hotel near the first turn of MG Marg. I liked the room but at first, I didn’t agree with the price and went out on the road again to take a look. Oops, it’s been quite a while since then. Seeing that it was getting quite cold, I took the first room I saw without looking anywhere, even though it was a little expensive. Which later gave the mind great satisfaction, at night, in the morning and in the sweet morning sun …
Seeing this, I sang the joy of my heart.
“Today, on the border of happiness,
I can feel her sweet touch in the air … ”

Whether we are traveling or going somewhere, on the road, in the mountains, in the forest, in the river or in the water
