The beginning and end of the Agartala tour.

Agartala can be the best destination for those who want to visit and shop in India at a low cost. Accommodation and expenses are discussed in the relevant part of the post. Tripura is the nearest state to India from Dhaka. Agartala is the capital city of Tripura. Domestic flights from Agartala can travel to almost all destinations in India at a low cost. (From Agartala you can get to Kolkata in just 50 minutes by plane for Rs. 1800 *) Where going to Kolkata by good quality bus from Dhaka wastes all night and half of the day and the fare is Tk. 1600/1800. Anyway, at least I didn’t go down without explaining myself first.

Journey

 =====

If you start the journey from Dhaka by Mahanagar Prabhati train (7.45), you will be dropped off at Akhaura Railway Junction by 11 am. Rent 160 Tk. After breakfast, go to the check post by autorickshaw or CNG. CNG will cost 25/30 Tk per person. Rickshaw 50/60 Tk. After completing the work of the immigration office with the travel tax at the check post, enter the Indian border. Enter India after completing all the work there. Note: Do not give any extra money/speed money to anyone at either end of the two immigrations. You will get a money exchanger two minutes from the gate but the rate is much lower here. Better to go to the city and exchange rupees. Autorickshaws and rickshaws will be available as soon as you get out of the gate. Get the bargain right.

Ujayanta Palace:

============
It is basically a museum. However, it is not as rich as our Dhaka Museum. In one part of this museum, there are many pictures of the liberation war of Bangladesh, the magazines published at that time, and the liberation war which you will love to see.

The interior and exterior of Ujayanta Palace are more beautiful. Its construction style, open field, wide garden, a water fountain will all catch your eye. Ujayanta Palace is open from 10 am to 9 pm. The entrance fee to Ujayanta Palace is Rs 20 for locals and Rs 100 for foreigners.

Tips:

If you can speak two one line Hindi while buying a ticket, you can get a ticket for only 20 rupees. Confidently say “Do Ticket Di Jiye.” I mean give me two tickets! However, it is necessary to speak in Bengali with confidence, but if he finds out you are a Bangladeshi, he will not pay 20 rupees

The second day

========
On the second day, check out from the hotel and visit distant destinations (Sepahijla Sanctuary, Udaipur, and Nirmahal) from Agartala. You can go by local bus or you can go to Nirmahal by reserving a direct car. You can reserve a car in front of Rajbari (Ujayant Palace) or from the motor stand. It will take 1500 to 2000 rupees for the whole day.
If you reserve a car, ask the driver to drop you off at the checkpoint before 5 pm (if you return home that day). You will be able to return to Dhaka by metropolitan twilight train from Akhaura at 7 pm.

Sepahijla Sanctuary

===================

The Sepahijla Sanctuary is just 25 km from Agartala, much like the Lauyachhara National Park in Moulvibazar. The road from Agartala to Sepahijla is quite exciting.

Udaipur:

=======

The distance from Agartala is 55 kilometers. Udaipur is famous for its beautiful water bodies like Amarsagar, Jagannath Dighi, Mahadev Dighi, etc. For Hindus, the place is almost like a pilgrimage site.

Nirmahal
========
Nirmahal is located at a distance of 50 km from Agartala city. It will take 1.30 hours to go. It is much more beautiful to see this palace built in the style of Muslim architecture in the middle of the huge body of water of Rudrasagar. You have to buy a ticket for 30 rupees and go to the palace by a trawler.
