Travel to the land of tea: Srimangal.

Before the end of October, nature reduced its intensity and increased its cool flow. In this tenderness of nature, the mind also began to flutter to go somewhere. I haven’t been anywhere for almost a month. It is not possible to be alone with nature alone, to walk barefoot in a magical solitary path very early in the morning, or to enjoy nature by sitting quietly by a solitary river. Thinking about where to go, I think I went to Sylhet last time. The days were quite beautiful. This time it is not bad to go to Srimangal. Come back to the tea kingdom for a few days. I told a friend about my Srimangal tour plan. All three agreed.

# First day: travel and resort booking
There are trains and by-roads from Dhaka to Srimangal. I am a lazy person so on the day before the journey I bought four tickets online at Parabat Express from Dhaka to Srimangal at 6.30 am. I got up very early the next morning and reached Kamalapur station at six o’clock. After a while, the train came. The train is usually seen leaving late but the Parabat Express started its journey at the right time today. Gradually, as the concrete buildings of Dhaka city moved away, the river Nala Khal Beel began to appear. It is as if the greenery has begun to grow with the distance. Leaving behind rivers, canals, beels, haors, baors, forests, jungles, we were slowly running towards our destination. I left Bhairab, Brahmanbaria, Azampur, Nayapara, and Shayestaganj and reached Srimangal, the state of tea, at about 11:30 am. We got off the train and rented an easy bike to reach the resort. You can get an easy bike from the station at 20/25 rupees per person. However, based on the distance to the resort, you need to rent an easy bike. I have already found some good resorts and hotels online. Rents range from Tk 1,000 to TK10,000. My purpose was not to relax while lying down at the hiking resort. So I booked two rooms of a resort at a low cost. No advance payment is required to book a resort in Srimangal online. So it is better to book a resort and talk to them and fix everything. There are a few things to keep in mind: its distance from the city of Srimangal, security measures, which floor of your room if the room has AC properly and hot water system and many other things. We booked the Green Park Tea Resort. But to be honest I was very annoyed with their use and service. The lack of maturity of the resort management was noticeable.

# First day: The tour started
We reached the resort and completed the initial work. Then I took some rest in the room and went out to have lunch. There are two famous hotels in Srimangal, Pansi, and Panch Bhai Hotel. We all decided we would have lunch at Pansi. You can eat different mash bhaji in Petpur for 100+ tk per person. If you want to eat fish or meat, you have to spend a little money. After eating, we rented an easy bike for 40/50 tk and went to Finlay Tea Estate, very close to the city (01). Here is a huge ceremony of laying a green carpet on the flat ground. The place is so huge that it is not possible to see the whole in one day. I found myself repeatedly in the midst of this enormity. As far as the eye could see, I was looking at this tidy environment of green. After leaving the team behind and walking alone for about 15/20 minutes, I suddenly saw a red mountain. I have heard before that this hill is known as Lal Matir Pahar (02) Lalpahar. After going up and down some paths, I finally climbed to the top of the hill. It takes 20 to 25 minutes to reach here so it will be good for those who like to walk. There are two impossibly beautiful temples on top of the hill: one white and the other golden. Looking down from the mountains, one can understand how beautiful and diverse nature can be. Eventually, I started descending the hill with peace of mind and eyes. After seeing the red mountains, we went to see the bird zoo in the heart of the city (03). It is a uniquely beautiful place for those who love birds. Here you will find a chance to discover yourself in a new way. Get to talk to the birds. From here we went (04) to see Shitesh Babu Zoo. I am an animal lover so places are as dear to me as a pilgrimage. It was nice to see the whole thing. From here I went to Shamshernagar (05) golf course. The golf course is so beautiful to look at that it feels like you’ve been touring somewhere outside the country. Where nature will greet you. Finally, in the late afternoon, we crossed the sea of tea gardens (06) and went to see the slaughterhouse Ekattar. Here silence and reverence merge into one. Eventually, at the end of the first day’s tour, we came back to town and the five brothers didn’t have dinner at the hotel. The dinner here was also of different items and I got it at 120+ tk per person. Before returning to the hotel we rented an easybike (commonly called a tomtom car; but not a horse carriage) so that we could leave the next morning. I made a deal to rent an easy bike for the whole day.

# Day 2: Tea garden all around
I woke up very early in the morning and got ready. Tomtom arrived at the front of the resort by seven in the morning. We started the journey. The plan was to have breakfast at a small shop near the hill tea garden, so I left with breakfast. 4/5 km away from the city (06) Grand Sultan Hotel. In the tea garden, this hotel is surrounded by mountains. This hotel will not be bad for those who like to visit and spend time in the hotel. Our tomtom continued along the road opposite the Grand Sultan Hotel (06) for the purpose of Jannatul Ferdous Mosque, Mahajirabad. Surrounded by hills and built on a hill, this impossibly beautiful mosque is truly impeccably beautiful. You can see the mosque by crossing 140 steps. The mosque has become more beautiful due to the environment around it. In the surrounding hills, you will see (09) pineapple orchard, tea-garden, lemon orchard, and some other orchards. After leaving here, we ate bread, dalvaji, fried eggs, banana, and tea at Petpur in a nearby hotel. I thought four people would get a bill of 250+ rupees. But I had to pay 160 rupees. Then we (10) started our journey towards Lauyachhara Udyan. Lauyachhara Udyan is spread about 7/8 km away from here. There are small and big plants of different species. In fact, the whole place is full of vegetation, so all the surrounding places, including Lauyachhara National Park, seemed to be my garden. Of course, there is a railway line inside the park, the beauty of which is remembered. If you go around inside, you will see (11) Khasia village. Out of curiosity, I went to meet the people of Khasiapalli. A varied lifestyle provides truly delicious food. After leaving the park and having a light tea (12) I started my journey towards Madhabpur Lake. The eye-catching lake is about 6/7 km away from here. This lake is several kilometers wide. The ceremony of the tea garden on the hill beside the lake. Strangely beautiful blue water lilies are scattered all over the place. To be honest, it is impossible to see the nature of this lake during the rainy season. We walked along the side of the lake and finally sat in front and enjoyed the beauty of nature. Two hours passed to see. And without wasting time (13) I left for Nurjahan tea garden. On the way, we saw pineapple orchards, lemon orchards, betel orchards, and rubber orchards. Besides, there is a tea garden. The most beautiful tea garden in Srimangal town is Nurjahan Tea State. It is as if someone has arranged a row of tea gardens on the hill on both sides. The narrow road in the middle has gone far and wide. Some distance away there are huts for the tea workers to rest. We sat there for a while and chatted. To understand how beautiful nature is, you must visit this beautiful tea garden in Srimangal at least once. I just felt that my hope in Srimangal was fulfilled by traveling this way. Finally, Aslam (14) crossed the zigzag path and went to Bangladesh Tea Research Institute (BTRI). The institute has been developed in a beautiful environment. Different species of Chagacha are studied here. Honestly, I really like this place. Many large open green grass fields fill the mind. The soft light of the afternoon falls on the green grass particles and creates an impossibly beautiful feeling. It was about four o’clock in the morning. Finally (15) we reached the city from Nilakanthi in ten to fifteen minutes. After eating from Pansi at noon, I bought a Kadi banana stick from the market for Tk 200 and two hali pineapples for Tk 180 and reached the station. On the day of my departure, I had booked a ticket for Srimangal to Dhaka at 5.15 pm on the Parabat Express, so everything went according to plan. Strangely beautiful views of the tea garden were repeatedly floating in the eyes while coming on the train.
